FirstVentures was founded in 2005, and advises FNI Venture Capital, a fund which invests in high potential technology companies.
We invest in exceptional companies operating in the following sectors:
- IT and communications
- Cleantech
- Healthcare and medical devices
Criteria for investment include:
- Companies with established products which address a real market need in large and growing global markets, with a realistic opportunity to achieve a market leadership position;
- Strong and growing revenues and at or close to profitability
- Sustainable barriers to entry created by differentiated and protected proprietary intellectual property
- Talented and motivated management team with a track record of success
- Attractive investment potential with opportunity for substantial capital gain
We are focused mainly on the UK, however we will consider opportunities elsewhere in Europe.
Typical investment size is £1-2mn, however we can invest larger or smaller amounts of money depending on specific circumstances.
